The outdoors is where we love to be, and Caperlan couldn't be happier than in the Gironde region of France, where it's design and development centre is based.

The Gironde region offers many different fishing environments, and naturally is home to a high number of practising anglers. Vast natural lakes, Arcachon bay, Atlantic beaches and majestic rivers are all perfect  anglers.

Located in Cestas close to Bordeaux, the Caperlan head office occupies an 18ha site with a 6,000 sq m building (including a 3,500 sq m store sellling hunting, fishing and archery goods), a 1.5ha lake, and 9ha of conservation forest.
It's the only site of its kind in the world, and will enable Caperlan (and its 2 sister country sports brands) to grow and design products that are always closer to user needs. The store houses an engineering office and the brand head quarters, enabling direct contact with customers/uses to discuss their expectations and needs. With natural sites close by and several test zones on site (running boar, climatic chamber, fresh/salt water fishing simulators, pools to test lures or waders, etc.), engineers and product managers cacn test products prototypes straight away and quickly make the changes needed for tomorrow's products. Some of these test areas are also accessible to customers, so they can try products before they buy: "proven after testing!"

To respect the environment, the site's car parks are mostly covered with pine bark chippings, the building is constructed from wood, and the interior lighting uses "sheds" (vertical glazed walls built into the roof).
